Fences come in different shapes and sizes and have many connotations – they are a good way to know what belongs to us and what does not; they provide a sense of protection, ownership and control. They play an important role in letting us know what is within our control, where our boundaries lie and more importantly, what side should we belong to, knowing well we may not always have the option to cross over.
