99. Cookie Time
It is that time of the year when you see the arrival of Girl-Scout Cookies! I am a big fan of these cookies - not just the flavors it offers but mainly the enthusiasm with which these are sold all around. I consider this as one of the most successful fund-raising campaigns! Here is my contribution in support of your 'courage-confidence-character':

29. Mexican Delight
Indians in (and outside) the subcontinent have a special love affair with Mexican food - guess it has to do with the similarity in spices (compared to any other cuisine that can come across as quite bland) or the fact that there are a variety of snacky items that are considered as a cultural attribute for the Indian social circle. Here I share some of my favorites:
Crispy Chips with tomato salsa - refreshing starters/snacks that can instantly gratify
Queso Dip - cheddar cheese melted with a mix of salsa
Tortilla - also the Bread of Mexico
Guacamole - an avocado based dip with spices, onions, lemon and tomatoes
Crispy Enchiladas - rolled tortillas with flavored veggies
No meal can ever be complete without this universally popular Chocolate Brownie dessert

22. Vada Pav
This food runs in the veins of every Mumbaikar – you tend to breathe this out of your daily commute in Mumbai. NY Times, in its India Ink Publication, did a delicious coverage on the search for world’s best Vada Pav. I’d say that one gets the world’s best Vada Pav when the craving for this dish is directly proportional to the difficulty in being served. Hence I can say that I just got to have the best of its kind thanks to Mom who is visiting us currently and made this affectionately for us.
Two key condiments - garlic and cilantro chutneys
Pav - bun bread
Potato patty - deep fried in a spicy mixture of gram flour
Final product - patty served between the pav with the spread of two chutneys on each side - Simply awesome!

14. Thanksgiving
As I continue reflecting on gratitude especially on the eve of thanksgiving, I am glad to able to spend this day with my mom who is here with us - nothing like spending good times with mom to feed you and pamper you and also a delight to see K spend some of his good times with her.
The day is also about being able to have some simple delicious meal.
Toast to family and friends and those who continue to support and love. Here's to the family I was born to AND to the family I am married to. Happy Thanksgiving!

10. Box of Love
As recommended in ‘Capture-your-365’, I attempt to focus on the theme of ‘gratitude’ – so beginning today, I hope to capture some of the things I am thankful for in the coming days, if not the whole month. Today, I am extremely thankful for receiving such a lovely box of sweets from India. It is one thing to receive the sweets and quite another when what you receive is packaged in a manner that truly defines how it is sent. Indeed grateful for all the thought, effort and love that has gone into this box - thank you Kavi Aunty!

2. Trader Joes
Going grocery shopping on Saturday evening can be most boring and tedious. But thanks to Trader Joes for making it colorful, refreshing and quite a pleasure.
