Black Friday also marks the day when we get to spot the first XMas tree at several places. I saw this one at Tysons Corner - a tree of notes on Gratitude!

14. Thanksgiving
As I continue reflecting on gratitude especially on the eve of thanksgiving, I am glad to able to spend this day with my mom who is here with us - nothing like spending good times with mom to feed you and pamper you and also a delight to see K spend some of his good times with her.
The day is also about being able to have some simple delicious meal.
Toast to family and friends and those who continue to support and love. Here's to the family I was born to AND to the family I am married to. Happy Thanksgiving!

13. Apple
I reiterate what I had written a month ago about how grateful I am to Apple for –
Giving me a world of music to explore
Showing me a way to do things better
Helping me understand the essence of perfection
Enabling me to stay connected even when mobile
And thus giving me the ‘Apple’ I never realized I need so much!

12. Flowers
I love getting flowers at home. They tend to brighten up the environment and add color to our lives. Thanks to flower vendors and supermarkets, I am grateful to be able to add such color and fragrance at home – surely brightens up a dull day and lifts up the spirits all year round.

11. Memory of Bubbles
One of the most captivating memories as a kid was making bubbles – using regular soap water and creating orbits in the air! Was quite fascinating till a point when the bubbles would keep floating and then make way to the ground – a tipping point for mom to scream at how soapy the floor would get at home! Today as I relive this fun time through my son, I am grateful to him for bringing back that enjoyable memory – that of a carefree childhood pleasure.

10. Box of Love
As recommended in ‘Capture-your-365’, I attempt to focus on the theme of ‘gratitude’ – so beginning today, I hope to capture some of the things I am thankful for in the coming days, if not the whole month. Today, I am extremely thankful for receiving such a lovely box of sweets from India. It is one thing to receive the sweets and quite another when what you receive is packaged in a manner that truly defines how it is sent. Indeed grateful for all the thought, effort and love that has gone into this box - thank you Kavi Aunty!
